About the Project

Project Overview

The North Sherman Boulevard project will improve the pavement, signage, safety and operations along North Sherman Boulevard for all users including motorists, bicyclists and pedestrians.

The proposed typical section will be a four-lane divided roadway. On each side of the grass median there will be two travel lanes, parking pods, grass terraces, a one-way raised protected bike lane, and concrete sidewalk.

Proposed improvements include protected signalized intersections, raised crosswalks at unsignalized intersections, speed tables at W. Clarke Street and W. Chambers Street, new streetlights, and new bioswales.

Residents may see survey crews collecting information for design surveys, environmental surveys, soil borings, traffic counts, utility locations, and other data.

Construction on the North Sherman Boulevard Project is tentatively scheduled to begin in 2027.
